Day 8. Camera shake. Cinematography.
Today I worked on the Stage 1 Framework of the 2D Game Development course.
I am done with camera shake if the Player got hit.
At first, I messed up with the script, and instead of a camera, shook a player.
Right after, it was too strong magnitude. Dizzy…
Finally, I adjusted the setting
The second feature was speeding up when a player holds the left Shift button.
In the end, I programmed the Shield collection. Now Player able to collect up to three shields and use them as an extra life. Shields painted white, green, and red color.
The cinematography course was exciting at the start. I realized that my MacBook Pro 2011 with quite obsolete GPU might not work with every object. Time for laptop upgrade? Is brand new M1 chipped will work with Unity?
I was thinking about an external keyboard for Unity with Play/Pause button. But ended up learning a shortcut. Welcome “Ctrl + Cmd + P”. To learn more shortcuts have a look at this linkhttps://docs.unity3d.com/Manual/UnityHotkeys.html
I keep dreaming about a MacBook Pro with a touchscreen (not an iPad). Hello Apple. It does not exist yet.
In the end, funny, fresh example of 3D graphics mixed with “reality?”
See you soon.
